“A feast for Saint Anthony”

This unique sardine tray is perfect for serving drinks and snacks or as a beautiful gift. Inspired by Portuguese culture and their love for sardines, it is a one of a kind functional piece of art. The themed tray is handcrafted by me – Karen Kelleher Carneiro, signed and dated.

 

The painterly look of the wooden tray was created with tissue paper and inks in blues, greens and purples. Protected with a glossy resin finish, easily wiped clean with a wet cloth.

 

The decorative tray is layered with resin for a dimensional appearance with colorful and whimsical sardine illustrations. Adorned with dried moss, green and purple glass chips, metallic glitter flecks and rhinestones. The front side is embellished with a starfish and varnished with a protective coating. The bottom is felt lined in blue with rubber feet.
