I designed the logo and branding for the United Nations International Year of the Older Persons, the theme “towards a society for all ages”.
The logo idea was an interpretation of the UN logo. Representing togetherness in motion — moving towards a society for all ages.
Initiatives were taken on local levels to prepare for the year involving individuals, families and neighborhoods concentrating on the effects aging has on daily living.
The United Nations partnered with American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to produce posters and postcards that were sent to older persons worldwide and returned with their written sentiments and concerns. These postcards were made into a booklet with their writings in English, French and Spanish.
