This unique Peacock box is handcrafted and signed by Karen Kelleher Carneiro. A perfect home for jewelry, keepsakes or as a beautiful gift. Inspired by nature, it is a one of a kind functional piece of art. 

 

The wooden box has been enhanced with gold leaf and patinas in blues, greens and browns protected with a glossy resin finish.

 

The lid is decorated with a peacock photo and feathers, dyed guinea fowl feathers, an amethyst quartz geode, crystals, beads and decorative corners. The sides are adorned with turquoise beaded trim, crystals, peacock and guinea fowl feathers. The lid is hinged in the back with a front latch and turquoise tassel. The bottom is felt lined with painted wooden legs.

 

The interior is painted metallic espresso and varnished. The padded bottom is lined with teal blue taffeta. The interior lid is lined with gold lace-like paper and a mirror decorated with beaded trim and feathers.
