Koi Fish Serving Tray — SOLD

"Among the lily pads"

 

This unique Koi fish tray is perfect for serving drinks and snacks or as a beautiful gift. Inspired by nature, ponds and fish it is a one of a kind functional piece of art. The themed tray is handcrafted by me – Karen Kelleher Carneiro, signed and dated.

 

The wooden tray has been enhanced has been enhanced with gold leaf and patinas in greens and browns. Protected with a glossy resin finish, easily wiped clean with a wet cloth.

 

The decorative tray is layered with resin to give a dimensional appearance.  Adorned with hand painted koi illustrations over lace-like paper and my pond/lily pad photo. Dried leaves, rose petals, multicolored glass chips and metallic glitter flecks are embedded into the resin.  The sides are painted a metallic gold and varnished with a protective coating. The bottom is felt lined in a dark brown with slip proof rubber feet.
