In coordination with the JEMBS (Joint Electoral Management Body Secretariat) and our design team we produced and disseminated a wide variety of print, audio and visual public outreach materials to ensure informed participation. These materials were designed to provide important information and key messages about the electoral process to Afghan voters and detailed training materials for electoral officials. The focus was on providing potential voters a clear understanding of the government’s transitional process, registration, polling and counting processes and encouraging Afghan citizens to participate in the elections.

A cohesive branding image was designed and applied to all electoral materials for a unified campaign and easy recognition. The design incorporated the country in the colors of the National flag and a locked ballot box, which implies secure and secret voting, a major concern to the population.
