“Inspirational Mantra”

 

This unique love, light, peace box is handcrafted and signed by Karen Kelleher Carneiro. A perfect home for jewelry, keepsakes or as a beautiful gift. Inspired by nature and a life mantra, it is a one of a kind functional piece of art.

 

The wooden box has been enhanced with silver leaf and patinas in blue, red and brown. Handmade lace-like paper is layered onto the leafing. The finish is a high gloss resin coating.

 

The lid is decorated with 3 photos: a waterfall in Bali with the word Love, a sunset in East Timor with the word Light and Doves bathing with the word Peace. Embellished with a heart, a bird, a recycled jewelry piece with dangling crystals, dried fern leaves and rose petals. The sides have leather trim, skeleton leaves and rose petals. The lid is hinged in the back with a front latch. The bottom is felt lined with wood legs painted silver.

 

The interior is painted a deep red and varnished. The bottom is padded and fabric lined with a golden yellow taffeta. The interior lid has a mirror decorated with brown braided trim.
